This Community of Practice software allows schools and other organisations to work safely locally and globally, and in the most cost effective manner (monetary, time, environmental, political). It is a support tool with three main components:
Multi-Media WIKI (the result of whcih you can see on this site)
Dashboard (only available to registered users) which allows each project to be managed by a Project Manager - with an array of easy-to-use WEB 2.0 support tools including

The Dashboard.allows all registered project partners to contribute not only to their projects (see User Menu - top right) but to contribute to the development of the site:

A registered user (O) Plugs in camera and headset (1) Selects Conferencing from the User Menu - if permitted to do so (2) Clicks Enter (3) Selects On-line users they wish to conference with (4) That's it!
Our best practice and experiences so far was presented at the Brownhills Showcase March 31st featuring this school's local and global community engagement, and also how it uses its VLE and Community of Practice Software Support to do this.
